Desktop Support Engineer L2

Major Responsibilities:

Basic Troubleshooting of all active and passive network device. (e.g., Switch, Router, Firewall,
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability of network setup of the various client.
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Provide Level- 1 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel/ vendor for problem resolution
Need work on network passive component (e.g. Network cabling, designing, installing of new setup)
User administration (setup and maintaining an account)
Maintaining the system
Verify proper working of peripherals
Quickly arrange repair for hardware in occasion of hardware failure- Monitor system performance
Create file systems
Install software
Create backup and recovery policy
Monitor network communication
Update system as soon as the new version of OS and application software comes out
Implement the policies for the use of the computer system and network
Setup security policies for users. A system admin must have a strong grasp of computer security (e.g. firewalls and intrusion detection systems)
Password and identity management
Hands on experience on Office 365, Exchange
Designing best practices for backups, and whole infrastructure.
Create new users
Resetting user passwords
Lock/ unlock user accounts
Monitor server security-
Monitor special services etc
Manage Firewall.
Implements firewall policies.
Monitor WAN bandwidth usage.
